For ages 3-5 and their caregivers
Learning the alphabet is serious business…for three year olds. Exposure to written and spoken word at an early age helps children to acquire language skills that prepare them for a lifetime of learning. Parents are their child’s first teacher, however the library is also here to support parents in this endeavor. During Fun Time Story Time, not only are children exposed to early literacy language concepts in a positive environment, they are also gaining interpersonal skills when they interact with other children, and start gaining cooperation and empathy skills, too. Throughout this session of Fun Time Story Time, there will be craft activities from time to time, as well as stories that celebrate holidays and special occasions. Children of all abilities are welcomed. Please call ahead to let us know if you desire a special accommodation. Teachers in day cares and schools are invited to attend, however groups of 10 or more are requested to make a reservation at least one week in advance of the Fun Time Story Time they wish to attend.
